A Proud Legacy of Support for Children’s Charities

The Kid Golf Classic was first held back in 1984 with just 20 golfers at Gormley Green Golf Club. In the more than 20 years that followed, this grassroots golf tournament grew to include more than 300 golfers at its peak, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of The Children’s Wish Foundation (now Make-A-Wish) and Sick Kids.

After a hiatus between 2009 and 2020, the children of the founders brought back the tournament. Since then, the proceeds of the modern Kid Golf Classic have gone to Make-A-Wish, a cause that has been near and dear to the hearts of two generations of golfers, sponsors, and supporters.

This year, the Kid Golf Classic is returning to Carrying Place in King City on Wednesday, September 11.
